Eco-Tech Hackathon · POWERFEM · Larnaca
Three software-only tools that turn everyday footprints into numbers you can act on. No sensors, no integrations, no excuses: each one is buildable in a single hackathon day.

The idea behind all three
A bill, a wardrobe, a plate: each hides its footprint, and what stays invisible never changes. Each tool reveals one honest number, then hands the user one action worth taking.
01 · Energy
Your electricity bill, finally itemized. One number in euros becomes three actions worth taking.
WattWise · The solution
Millions of European homes carry smart meters that record consumption every 15 to 30 minutes. WattWise turns that dormant data into advice, with zero new hardware.
Appliance-level feedback cuts household use by about 12%, roughly three times what monthly bills achieve (Armel et al., Energy Policy, 2013). Demo runs on bundled 7-day sample households with transparent rules; no live meter needed.

02 · Clothes
The most sustainable wardrobe is the one already hanging in your closet.
ReWear · The solution
A digital wardrobe plus a local swap network. Garments stop being clutter and start being currency, with the environmental savings counted out loud.
EU citizens discard roughly 11 to 12 kg of textiles a year and under 1% of clothing is recycled into new garments. Demo runs on a built-in footprint table and mock listings; builders can seed it live with their own wardrobes.

A Nutri-Score for the planet, computed before you eat.
GreenPlate · The solution
Food drives roughly a quarter of a European household's footprint, yet no one can see a meal's impact at the moment of choosing. GreenPlate closes that loop in seconds.
The EU wastes about 59 million tonnes of food a year, roughly 132 kg per person. Footprint values and swap rules ship inside the app as lookup tables; the country toggle is the built-in transnational angle.

Why these three
Three domains, one design principle: reveal the number, hand over the action. Each demo stands on mock data and lookup tables, so the whole pitch works without a single external dependency.
