The gap

Cities see the heat but get no instructions.

Asphalt density, shrinking canopy, and climate change make urban districts hotter every summer. Existing tools visualise temperature; none of them say what to do about it, where, or in what order.

The solution

From heat map to planting plan.

GreenTrigger scores every district for heat risk and converts the score into a concrete greening action plan: detect, analyse, prioritise, recommend, report, improve.

The one-day build

The full vision mocked, the workflow real.

The complete concept uses street sensors and satellite imagery. On hackathon day those are replaced entirely by a bundled mock dataset of 8 to 10 districts, and the recommendation engine is honest rule-based logic: score bands map to tree counts and shade actions.

The 3-minute pitch

  1. Hook: "Your city knows exactly where it's hottest. It still doesn't know where to plant the next tree."
  2. Open the map, click the 92/100 district, and read the generated plan out loud.
  3. File a citizen hot-spot report live: the score updates, the plan adjusts. Close the loop from resident to council budget.
